Hope With A Hammer is a community of skilled volunteers who are sent into some of the most helpless times in people's lives. We are a ministry of the RIO Network based out of RIO Central Church. For twenty years, we have helped meet the construction needs of people who are victims to natural disasters, illness and poverty.
Our mission is to restore hope for hurting people around the world to see that God hasn't abandoned them in their time of difficulty.

New Missionary Home Project
I want to tell you about an amazing family.
Chico and Kaci Atchison and their three boys have spent the last 30 years living in the mountains of Mexico, serving indigenous people and taking the Gospel into villages that most of us will never even see.
Today, they oversee and care for about 50 villages.
They feed the poor. They visit orphans and prisons. They provide motorcycles for pastors so they can get into other villages and share the Gospel. They put in wells. And they teach people trades like farming, baking, and carpentry so they can provide for their families.
They have willingly given up a lot of the conveniences and comforts that most of us enjoy so they can make much of Jesus among people who are often forgotten.
A couple of times a year, they come back to their missionary base in Lyford, Texas, to regroup, plan, and rest.
And for the last few years, they’ve been doing that in a home that’s basically been half-finished.
