We’re excited about a new project and about this amazing family that we get to bless. Jody and Rhema Atchison moved to Mexico on 2001. Where they have lived now for 22 years loving and helping the indigenous people of the Tres Huastecas region in the Sierra Madre Mountains. They have given up many comforts that we enjoy and feel called to the needs of others in a very difficult and unreached place.

Their ministry is a pioneer-from the ground up work. They have 50 villages they care for and disciple! They visit one or more of those villages per day. Some of those visits are a 2-3-day hike. Many of those villages were unreached, never hearing the Gospel. Still today they are taking the message of Christ to unreached villages for the first time.

 

Their 2 children, Faith and Joseph born in 2003 and 2006 have lived their lives serving alongside their parents in Mexico. The family’s work includes, feeding ministries, prison ministries, providing jobs, building churches, farming, digging wells, providing self-sustaining infrastructure for long term stability. And they’re raising up local mature Christian leadership that will continue advancing the gospel and making disciples in Mexico.

 

They come state side to south TX one month a year to rest and do office work for the ministry. They are in need of a home and missions office. We have a chance to really bless a family who bless so many others!
